Assistant Manager Front Of house

Radiantly Alive (RA) is Ubud's (Bali) premier Yoga and Wellness Studio. RA includes a stunning yoga studio, world-class teacher trainings, and a range of high- quality wellness products and services. This role is for someone who enjoys hard work and a challenge, wants to really hone their leadership abilities, loves to interact with people and is very meticulous and detail oriented. The Front of House Supervisor is responsible for ensuring daily front of house studio operations run smoothly, troubleshooting customer issues and handling daily retail transaction requirements.

This role will report to the Marketing Manager and help build a best-in-class experience for our growing community. Duties outlined may not represent a full picture or scope and role has the possibility to change and evolve along with the organization.

General Front of House Duties
  • Supervise and manage reception team and assist with minor housekeeping needs 
  • Ensure all areas of the studio are spotlessly clean and stocked with needed supplies/props/materials 
  • Act as a leader and a coach for reception. Provide training and support wherever needed 
  • Act as a liaison between Balinese/Indonesian staff and foreign staff in order to build a stronger cultural connection 

Reception/Customer Service
  • Handle general client complaints and issues 
  • Respond to or route client inquiries via phone, email and in-person 
  • Manage scheduling of private yoga and holistic therapy sessions 
  • Manage last minute schedule changes and teacher substitutions 
  • Manage Shala/space rentals 
  • Be able to clearly explain classes and therapies to clients Marketing 
  • Keep all promotional signage updated according to marketing schedule 
  • Notify Marketing Manager of any signage needs or suggestions 
  • Ensure promotional signage in Ubud-area locations are up-to-date and prominently placed 

Retail
  • Field new consignment vendor request and current vendor issues/needs 
  • Manage any product complaint issues or returns 
  • Keep track of all product inventory and be able to explain discrepancies between physical and system inventory levels 
  • Make sure reception staff follows transaction processes 
  • Ensure products are well merchandised and organized 

Reporting
  • Provide daily and weekly retail sales reports to management 
  • Highlight any issues or trends (products that work/don't work) 
  • Provide customer feedback on wishes/ideas to improve processes or product mix 
  • Provide monthly status reports to consignment vendors Skills, Expertise, Experience 
  • Two years' experience in a leadership role and a total of five years' experience in a front of house role in a wellness, hospitality or retail environment. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Good communication skills 
  • Fluent English and Bahasa Indonesia 
  • Highly skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint) 
  • Experience and comfort with MBO (Mind Body Online) 
  • Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills 
  • High level of organisational skills and a systematic approach to work 
  • High level of attention to detail 
  • Passion for Yoga and Wellness
