Reservations Sales Coordinator
Will responsible for providing exceptional service while making reservations for leisure, corporate, and group travelers, as well as, our signature outlets. The Reservationist will work closely with all departments as a cohesive team. The Reservationist will assist the Front Office and Reservations Manager with daily responsibilities when reserving guest rooms according to the hotel’s financial strategy. This is a FULL-TIME position and candidates should have open availability to work 40 or more hours per week.
Responsibility
- Responding reservations calls for the hotel, restaurants and spa.
- Entering reservations information into VHP the hotel’s property management system, checking department e-mail and responding accordingly.
- Communicating guest preferences and any pertinent information to the related department quickly and clearly.
- Reviewing and monitoring online reservations booked through our channels to ensure accuracy.
- Providing clear description of hotel features and amenities. Maintaining 5-star quality standards for phone verbiage and etiquette.
- Cover and support front desk and Sales team as required.
Requirements
- A can-do attitude with positive behaviour and extrovert.
- Experience with VHP and familiar with channel manager, B2C-OTAs/B2B extranets.
- At least 1 year experience in a hotel reservations department.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
- Excellent communications skills & etiquette both written and by phone.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is needed, as well as the ability to type faster than 50WPM.
